The Resource Class is designed to meet the needs of students with mild to moderate disabilities in the areas of Specific Learning Disabilities, Language Impairments, and Other Health Impairments. This class is not to exceed ten students at one time. The Resource Class assists students in Language Arts and Mathematics. Each student receives individualized assistance in his/her work. Students are able to master math concepts through music, cadences, jives, etc. Students improve their reading ability through poetry, plays, etc. All students feel a sense of mastery in their learning. Writing is taught through the Four Square Method. If students have a mild diagnosed form of Speech or Language Impairments, there is a Speech Therapist that will work with them once/twice a week. If you suspect that your child may be struggling in the academic department, we encourage you to have your child evaluated through Multidisciplinary Psychotherapy of West Palm Beach.
